We are restoring, preserving and republishing the photographic works of the late James Arthur Brimble FRPS (1897 to 1974) on behalf of his family. James was the author of London’s Epping Forest, but also gained recognition as an accomplished photographer with regular contributions to Country Life Magazine, Austin Magazine and Camping Magazine from the mid 1930s onwards. (See James’ lifeline on Imperial War Museum here)

The initial stages of this project have concentrated on a box of unpublished medium format transparencies which were discovered in Wendy Brimble’s loft (one of his surviving two daughters). We are also working on restoring some of the black and white prints also discovered in this lost family archive.
These are being lovingly brought back to life and presented as a limited collection of framed and un-framed prints. All profits from the sale of these will go to the James Brimble family estate. To find out the current print number and to purchase, please call 07771535692 or email kevin@video-artisan.com
